Rainy week, we stayed busy!!

We had a very busy, rainy week! Tuesday we headed down to Moody Gardens in Galveston with our friends Erika and Maddy (a trip planned before we knew it would be a monsoon the whole week). We were going to do the water park but instead we did the aquarium and rain forest. Brinley loved watching all the animals, except when a duck almost stepped on her foot. I think she thought he was trying to chase her and quickly hid in between my legs!

Wednesday evening we had tickets to the Dynamo soccer game. It stopped raining long enough for us to enjoy the first half of the game. The seats were on the 50 yard line, first row, so Brinley enjoyed yelling "GO!!!" over and over as the players ran past us. She also enjoyed eating popcorn and drinking mommy's fresh squeezed lemonade!

I woke up Thursday morning in pain. I had pulled a stomach muscle and it hurt to breathe! But we met Sarah at Babies 1st furniture to look at baby bedding and have lunch. By the time we got home, I had a horrible headache and could not move. So my doctor had me come in to check me out. It turns out I was dehydrated (don't know how that happened, I drink water all day long!) and pulled a muscle probably from picking Brinley up. So I was ordered to take it easy (no more picking up Brinley) and drink more.

Saturday, we met Jenny (a sorority sister of mine) for lunch. It was great seeing her and catching up (I think it has been almost 3 years since we have seen each other). Then we had Addison's 2nd birthday party at a gymnastics place. They jumped on trampolines, swung from a rope into foam squares, and had a great time. Jason did all the physical stuff while I took pictures!

Today we are doing NOTHING and it feels great! We leave for San Antonio and Sea world Wednesday, so we have lots of packing, recovering and laundry to do!

a new face I discovered I can make!

Olympic inspiration

We have been nothing but Olympic couch potatoes the past 10 days!!! I LOVE the summer Olympics and can sit and watch any event they will televise! Brinley is loving watching it as well. Whatever the event we are watching, she will imitate. It all started with diving and she would jump off the ottoman onto the couch with her hands above her head just like the divers. She now gets in the ready, set, go position the runners do before she starts running (butt in the air and everything!!!) I didn't know how much the swimming would inspire her until we went to the pool today!! We normally go to the pool 2 or 3 times a week. Before today, she would play in the baby pool and then we would head over to big pool where I would hold her and we would practice kicking and just hang out. We have a swimsuit with floats built in but she couldn't hold herself up and hated putting it on! Today, I put it on her and she got on the steps of the big pool and jumped in!!! Then she was floating there and started doggy paddling herself around (with no instruction from me what so ever!!) Needless to say once she started doing this, there is no more baby pool or me holding on to her! Maybe we have the next Michael Phelps on our hands...... This video is from my cell phone because I can't seem to get the great video from our camera small enough to post on here!

We are having a....

We had our ultrasound this morning and found out we are having a BOY!!! They are 100% sure because he was very "proud" of showing it off! Every time they were looking at something, "it" would pop in the picture..LOL! Brinley really enjoyed watching her brother on the TV and kept telling him "Hi". Jason was very excited about the news and to find out they moved the due date up to December 31. A son and tax deduction!

Here are some of our little man's first pictures!
