birthdays, rodeo and rolling!

We started out our busy weekend by celebrating my mom's birthday by eating dinner at the House of Blues in downtown Houston. After dinner, we walked over to Discovery Green park where Brinley and Reese had a great time playing. For some strange reason, our camera stopped working after taking this picture, so no other pictures from our birthday celebration!
Sunday, we went to Marian's piano recital...which we learned is not a good place for a 2 year with no volume control :) We then headed over to the Smith's to celebrate Jason's grandfather's 77th birthday. No pictures because we still can't figure what is wrong with the camera and our little camera wasn't charged.

Tuesday, Brinley, Clayton and I went and met Jason for lunch at his work and then headed to the Houston Rodeo. Brinley was so excited to go and woke up that morning asking when she could ride a neigh! When we got there, her eyes were so big and she ran everywhere! We were there from 2pm to 7:30! She was a trooper, having no nap, and Clayton did great as well. She loved the animals...when I told her to come look at the chickens, she asked "mommy, I eat?". The person who was handling the chickens was almost in tears. I guess she thought of chicken nuggets..that's my girl! She was tall enough this year to enjoy the rides at the carnival. She is quite the daredevil and we had to say no to a few rides she wanted to do, just because they seemed to rough for her, but she was persistent in asking!

The first thing we had to do was ride the neighs, she would have done it 100 times had we let her!

She walked right up to the cow to shake her hand, this makes me so happy that we may actually get a good picture with the Easter bunny this year...you can visit past blogs about her fear of easter bunny and santa!

Brinley our little cowgirl! The Longhorn started to move and she got the funniest look on her face.
Clayton wasn't too impressed with the rodeo, he would rather play with his friend!

Once we got home from the rodeo, I layed Clayton down on his blanket on the floor to stretch out because he had been in the car seat or held all day long. After a few minutes, he rolled over! I have tried to get it on video but have been unsuccessful, so keep an eye out for it!

It looks like Brinley enjoyed the rodeo like any good Houston girl should! Great pictures!
